history questions

Q1. Who is Louis Daguerre and why is he so special? How did he become independently wealthy? A1. He invented the daguerreotype process of photography and this made him a wealthy man.

Q2. What types of photos did people have taken when photography was first invented? What were some difficulties they had to endure?
A2. slef portraits and they had to sit and use a clamp for their necks to staty still

Q3. Name three different types of early photographs? What do they look like? Why were they called that?
A3. Daguerreotypes, Ambrotypes, and Tintypes. they look like old photos also black and white.

Q4. What is a memento mori, as it relates to photography? Is this still practiced today? What is your opinion on the practice?
A4. they are pictures of dead people and it is somewhat practiced today, i personally think it is gross.

Q5. What is a Kodak Brownie? How did it work? Can you buy one on ebay? How much?
A5. It was an old camera and it uses the light to capture photos. you can find one on ebay for $10-$15.
